    Question Unanswered: JRE Error

    Hey folks,

I am trying to install oracle 8.0.5 in a machine running windows 98 (Pentium IV 1.8GHZ) but just after the instalation when I try to access the easy config it pops up a screen error on JRE saying:
"JRE causou uma falha de página inválida no
    módulo JAVAI.DLL em 015f:6ee37f4a."
I`ve tried to reinstall the oracle, replace the DLL,but none of those actions seems to solve the problem.
does anybody know what is going on?how can I solve this problem?
    Hope to hear fromyou soon.

    thank you so much

    ps:I attached the screen error.

Is the error translation to English something like

    Javai.dll not found

Then Easy config fails to launch?

    1. Copy the javai.dll from the installation disk into the %ORACLE_HOME%\bin
    directory.

    2. Copy the javai.dll from the "Program Files\Oracle\jre\1.1.7\bin"
    directory into the %ORACLE_HOME%\bin directory.

Please run a search on the javai.dll on your whole desktop and see if you can find another one than the one you installed. If so, rename it.

yes, sorry not to translate the error message. in portuguese is "JRE causou uma falha de página inválida no
módulo JAVAI.DLL em 015f:6ee37f4a.".....which means in english "JRE caused a fail in a invalid page in the module JAVAI.DLL"
and then ask me to close the program.
I tried to replace this specific dll but it didnt work as well.

    If all else fails:

    fix:

    Go to http://java.sun.com/products/jdk/1.1...e-windows.html
and download JDK/JRE 1.1.8_008 for Windows.

    Install the new JDK/JRE.

After installation copy the ..\bin\symcjit.dll and ..\bin\jvm.dll to your $
    ORACLE _HOME\JRE11\bin\ directory.

    Hey Tlael,

It worked properly. I did what you told me and then the easy config worked.

Thank you very much, you saved my job.

    cheers from Brazil
