    Lightbulb Unanswered: Auto Increment

    Hi,

    Please help guys, I am trying to increment a field using VB and Access. I have try all SQL statement of incrementing, but they all didn't work. So, please help guys, its urgent.

    Please, do not mind my English, I am a South African, English is not my mother's toung.

    You do not need SQL to do this in Access. When you create the column in Access, change the data type from Number to Auto Number.

    Thanx for your reply mark,

    To insert data into a field of data type Number, we use

    "INSERT INTO table
    VALUES(" & text1.text & "')"

    What need to be used in order to replace text1.text, to insert into a field of data type "Auto Number"
