    Unanswered: Log Suspend

    Can anybody let me know why the following message comes :
    in sp_who - > LOG SUSPEND , how to recover it..

    One process filled up the log file. To clean the transaction log, you can execute a
    Code:
    dump tran YourDB with truncate_only
    .
    If it's not possible because the log is really, really full, try to kill the suspended connections : this action will release some space, allowing you to execute the dump tran.
    If it's really impossible, try a
    Code:
    dump tran YourDB with no_log
    The last step to try
    Code:
    alter database YourDB log on ... = 2
    . Do not execute this command without reflexion, because it's not possible (in fact, not supported ;-)) to decrease the size of a database.

    PS: be sure to obtain a lot of 0 executing a
    Code:
    dbcc traceon(3604)
    dbcc gettrunc -- checking the existance of  a secondary truncation point
    (in case of replication)

    along with other commands as mentioned before you can also try
    lct_admin command to abort the particular process.
