    Unanswered: access rule

    Hi All

    In ASE 12.5 can access rule be used to restrict columns ?
    if yes then how ?

    Code:
    GRANT permission ON TableName (ColomnName) TO user
    REVOKE permission ON TableName (ColomnName) FROM user

    thx for reply, i was aware of the grant and revoke permission which you mentioned, actually i wanted to know by using access rule (row level access introduced in 12.5) can i restrict columns ?

    Sorry : reading too quick your question => missunderstood

    Seems to me that an access rule only generate added conditions/where (AND/OR) clauses. So I don't see how to restrict the number of columns of a resultset.
