    Unanswered: OMS Problem

    Hello,

    I have got a Problem with configure the OMS.
    I create an OMS with the Enterprise Manager Configuration Assistant.
    I used following configuration:
    Oracel 9i Release 2
    User: OEM_DB-SERVER
    Tablespace: OEM_REPOSITORY
    Service iez_fm_sfma
    SID: sfma
    Port: 1521
    After the configuration the service was started. Now I tryed to open the
    Oracle Enterprise Manager and tryed to loggin on the OMS. But he said "wrong ID".
    Now I tryed to stop the oms with the cmd but i only get the VXA-1003 and VXA-2012.
    I checked the omsconfig.properties.
    oem.BootHost=localhost
    OEM.REPOSITORY.DATABASE=(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=db-server)(PORT=1521)))
    (CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=sfma)))
    OEM.REPOSITORY.USER=OEM_DB-SERVER
    oem.BootPort=7771
    OEM.REPOSITORY.DATABASE_ORIG=iez_fm_sfma

    I think it is OK.
    The DB sfma is running and the listener and service works.

    Could somebody give me some tips why i could loggin?

    Thanks! tim84

    HI,

    The credentials specified by the you to authenticate yourself to the Oracle Management Server might be incorrect.

    Respecify the username and password and attempt the login again.
    SATHISH .

    Thanks for your very fast answear.
    I respecified the username and passwort but the loggin
    doesnt work.

    Do you have some more tips?

    I must say you that I'm not an Oracle Admin. I should learn it.
    It also could be that I made changing the password wrong.

    thanks! Tim84

    Hi,

    You are trying to stop the OMS using the command line but it won't stop. I think you might have used the following command, which results in several errors:

    $ oemctrl stop oms <EM Username>/<EM Password>[@<OMS-hostname>]

    VXA-1003: Administrator login credentials are invalid.
    VXA-2012: failed to log in

    When using the command 'oemctrl stop oms' without any credentials you receive a dialog. When entering the username and password the OMS can indeed be stopped.

    The proper command line syntax stops the OMS. This doesn'tinclude the OMS-hostname.

    $ oemctrl stop oms <EM Username>/<EM Password>
    SATHISH .

    Hello,

    i only tried it with this comand.
    $ oemctrl stop oms <EM Username>/<EM Password>
    but I always got the both messeges.

    I tried to stop the service over the Windows system. --> NO CHANCE
    I tried to stop it over the Taskmanager --> NO CHANCE

    Why could the System start the OMS but not stop?

    thanks! Tim84
