    Cool Unanswered: dbms_output gives extra mesg

    this is a test for dbms_output. I have a procedure proc1 there is an unusual mesg 'hello' on every line when i execute the proc1. can someone tell me Y?
    NOTE: IF I REMOVE THE INSERT STATMENT IN THE LOOP, THE 'hello' MESG DOESN'T COME

    create or replace procedure proc1(tabnm varchar2)
    as
    cursor sel1 is select column_name from sys.all_tab_cols
    where owner = 'SIVA' and table_name = upper(tabnm);
    sel_in sel1%rowtype;
    begin
    for sel_in in sel1
    loop
    dbms_output.put_line(sel_in.column_name);
    insert into box values (sel_in.column_name);
    end loop;
    end;
    /

    thanks

    Look for a trigger on table BOX that contains code like:

    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('Hello');
