Unanswered: Run Winzip from within Access2000

I text files emailed to me that are zipped using
Winzip self exctarctor. In other words I get a file called "mytextfilles.exe" which will extract the txt files to a specific directory where I will import them from.
My Question: Can I run this file from within Access programtically?
    If so, how?

Yes you can by using SHELL function, in your case you don't need to include WINZIP.EXE. Instead, just type in "mytextfiles.exe" together with the directory where you're going to import them. Lastly, there's one more parameter you need to consider, it's how the program will be run. Kindly look up for SHELL function from your VBA windows.

Hope I was able to help in my own little way.

    cheers,

Also when using the SHELL to execute an .exe file using parameter you can check this parameter in Access using the Command statement.

    Look up Command Statement please
