Question Unanswered: db.Execute and Database Performance

My shop is doing alot of table processing/updating using the db.Execute command. We have many internal tables and some linked tables (Some ODBC and Some Access linked) in these databases. Is db.Execute the most efficient way to be performing these commands? I know this works but at this point I am concerned about processing speed and quality. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Some Examples:
    db.Execute "DELETE Table1.* FROM Table1;"
    db.Execute "INSERT INTO Table1 SELECT Table2.* FROM Table2;"
    db.Execute "DELETE Table2.*, * FROM Table2;"
"If you are good you will be assigned all the work. If you are really good you will get out of it."

Anytime you can use a pure SQL statement (like you can with DB.execute) it is a good thing.
