    Question Unanswered: Form>subform display option

    I have a Form with a subform.
    On opening the form Id like the subform not to show.
    Instead Id like to have a command button which the user clicks to show
    the subform within the form

    Ive tried all sorts of things such as setting the subform to nonvisible, getting the subform to close on opening the main form then have a command button to open the subform unfortunately for me in the latter case the subform shows on its own in a new window.

    Could someone help me with this !!

    Thanks for taking the time to answer an access beginner !

    me.controlname.visible = false

    No this is the name of the control that holds the subform and not the subform name

    In the form there is a control Subform put the property to "No", then when you open the form the subform is not visible.
    In a botton make a code like sbaxter say to set visible the subform.
    For last when you return to the form from the subform in the activate event of the form put the subform again to not visible.
