    Unanswered: SSL Encryption to a SQL Server 2000 database server

    I have a SQL Server 2000 database server (enterprise edition on windows 2003) and I require the following two SSL encrypted connections setting up;

    [1] A connection from a Windows 2003 Application Server into the SQL Server 2000 Database Server.

    [2] A connection from an Oracle 8.1.7 Database Server on Unix, into the SQL Server 2000 Database Server.

    If anyone has any suggestions or links to articles on this subject then that would be great.

    cheers,
    Carl

    Thanks that mainly covers off my first type of connection except that the Server and clients where the certificates are to be installed do not have internet access. Can you download them on another machine and then copy and install them on the appropriate boxes later?

    Does anyone have any ideas on my second type of connection?

    cheers,

    Carl
