    simple graphic conversion

We need a utility that watches a defined set of folders and upon seeing a new tif file, automatically creates a jpg of the same name. This utility also needs to create a b&w version of that tif at the same time, and append a "_bw" to the prefix. For example, if a file called bridge.tif appeared in the folder, two new files would be created: bridge.jpg and bridge_bw.jpg. We're willing to pay a small development fee if it cannot be purchased off-the-shelf. Anyone have any ideas? Is there another forum where this should be posted?
