Unanswered: Max size of schema that can be registerd?

    Hi,
Does anyonw know the max size of xml-schema that can be registerd to the Oracle 9i XML DB?

When I try to register a big schema, an error says
"ORA-01792 maximum number of columns in a table or view is 1000(*)"

    * not 254

    Any comments are appreciated.

    Hi,

Maximum number of columns in a table or view is 254. I think your schema contains more than 254 columns.

    Hi,

Remove some columns from the table or view definition. If all the information is required, split the columns into two tables or views and join the columns when querying.

    Hi,

Thank you very much for your reply.

    Now I'm trying to
    1) register a xml-schema
    2) create a table relates to the xml-schema
    3) insert XML documents relates to the xml-schema

An error occurs in the step 1), registering a xml-schema.
So, I hadn't create the table yet.

I wonder there's a xml-shema size limitation that can be registerd??
Or I need to split the xml-schema into some files?
And In that case, is total xml-schema file size is limited or one file size is limited?

    Do you have any suggestion?
    Thank you.
