    Unanswered: check installation and existense

    Hey all!

I'd like to know how to check that the database -system have installed and the server is started (db2admin start and db2start). And how about to check that the run time client is installed?
Does anybody have script or information? I'd be very thankfull.

My system is db2 udb 7.2 in Linux Red Hat.

rpm -qa will list all the rpm-s installed on your box ..
db2level will give you the db2 version info ...

There is a process db2gds (global domain spawner) which spawns most of the esssential engine processes ... Checking this may give an idea if db2 is up ....
