Unanswered: how to close remote threads

    Hi.
The programmers here don't close the DB2 applications (ever... ). The Control Center * Command Center.
    I can understand them...
But this thing cause our DB2 (on OS390) to keep a lot of open threads even for days (in WAIT-REMREQ status). And we don't like it...
Is there a way to close those threads after a specific time ?
How do you work in your shop ?
    Thanks,
    Ma'ayan

Re: how to close remote threads

DB2 S/390 uses the Resource Limit Facility (RLF) to monitor and limit activity of the threads. This facility is started with the START RLIMIT command, and the rules are stored in database DSNRLST.

I hope this should be able to 'kill' idle threads

    Cheers
