    Hi,

    I need to do a script for look who is login in the system and send a message that logout in five minutes, if not logout to do kill -9 pid and then execute dbexport.

    Your logged in users, as far as Informix is concerned, are shouwn by "onstat -u". Unless they are shared memory connections (ie. telnet) a unix "who" isn't going to show them, nor are they going to see a "wall" command.

    To knock them off, its Informix "onmode -z their_sid". Kill -9 isn't going to touch a user, just kill the engine - WHICH YOU DON'T WANT TO DO.

    Hi,
    You can do the following-
    using the onstat -u command, ge the userid and the terminals that they are connected to the database with.

    and using those user ids and terminals send a message to them using the command-
    $ write <userid> <terminal> <<EOF
    <u'r message here>
