    Thumbs up

    Hi,

Oracle9i continues to provide the most secure application development and deployment platform in the industry. Building on the significant security functionality introduced in Oracle9i Release 1, Release 2 provides a number of enhancements. Now, a username/password can be provided on a CREATE DATABASE statement, and a number of default accounts are locked and expired upon installation, providing additional security. A database administrator can issue a grant or revoke of object privileges on another user's objects, and you can audit SYS or SYSDBA operations. The Virtual Private Database capability supports fine-grained access control policies on tables, views, and now synonyms.
