We are developing a solution for a bank and have an encountered a peculiar problem.
The scenario is such that VB is the front end tool, we connect ot Oracle Database which is on linux RedHat(Oracle 9i(Release 2) for Linux). The Oracle Client Is Oracle9i Client for Windows (Release 2).
We are using xmltype Datatype in the tables.
We use XML to insert Records(using XMLDOM through stored procedures)
While inserting records from the front end we encountered a problem with the XMLTYpe datatype.
The same problem exists while entering data directly from the backend(
Through Stored Procedures)
The error msg is given below
<ErrorMessage>ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: oracle.xml.sql.OracleXMLSQLException: 'java.lang.ClassCastException: ' encountered during processing ROW element 0. All prior XML row changes were rolled back. in the XML document.</ErrorMessage>

Note If the Database is Oracle9i for Windows Release 2 The problem does not occur.
Please provide the solution as early as possible.
