    Unanswered: DB2 Governor

    hi everyone...
    a little question:
can DB2 Governor work with a db that's on os/390 through the db2 connect ?
or do i need to use RLF ?

we want connections that are in idle mode for a specific period of time to be forced. it works for db on NT. for a remote db it doesn't work. even starting the governor doesn't work.

    thanks...

    Hi

What do you mean with DB2 Governor? I only know the QMF Governor, which controls queries executed using QMF and the RLF, which can be used to control all dynamic statements.

    ammm....
fb2 governor governs the applications that's run on the server.
you can give it limits for different parameters and say what you want to do with the applications that cross those limits.

As far as I understand, you'll have to use Resource limit facility
