Does anyone know how to setup an odbc connection hard-coding username and password from a W2K to oracle db? Thanks.

Nope, from the ODBC Data Source Administrator or config files from Oracle folder.

When setting up the odbc, in the User Id field specify username/password. Hope it helps

No, you can only enter the password when you're testing the connection. I need to hard code it permanently.

    You cannot hard code...
you have to put it in the registry and read it while connecting.

This is exactly what I need to do. Have you done this before if so, what registry entries do I need? Thanks.
