    Unanswered: Access migration

hello people i'v got the following problem:

got 2 database's (same stucture other data) and those are in access 97 format with a whole system around them

    so for example

    database 1:
    tables :
    Project(ProjectID, projectname, projectdate, userID)
users(userID, name, email, city, phone, country)
    country(country)
    __________________________________________________ _______
    Data Project table:
    1, projectzero, 12-11-2003, 1
    2, projectsecundo, 11-11-2003, 1
    3, projectthree, 10-11-2003, 2

    Data users table:
    1, Joey, Joey@email.com, Somewhere, 1234567890, Netherlands
    2, Frank, Frank@email.com, somewhere, 09887664531, Netherlands

    Data Country table:
    Nederlands
    Belgium
    USA
    Poland
    __________________________________________________ ______

So you all can see the column "Country" is a forgein key and UserId is also.

    database 2:
    Project(ProjectID, projectname, projectdate, userID)
users(userID, name, email, city, phone, country)
    country(country)
    _____________________________________________
    Data Project table
    1, project1, 12-12-2003, 1
    2, project2, 12-12-2003, 1
    3, project4, 12-12-2003, 2
    4, project5, 12-12-2003, 2

    Data users table:
    1, Maria, Maria@email.com, Somewhere, 1234567890, Belgium
    2, Paul, Paul@email.com, somewhere, 09887664531, Poland

    Data Countrytable:
    Nederlands
    Belgium
    USA
    Poland
    ____________________________________________

Thats my 2 old database's, now i have a new database with an new system (access 2003) that looks like this:

    tables:
    Project(ProjectID, projectname, projectdate, userID)
users (UserID, name, e-mail, city, phono, countryID)
    Country(CountryID, Country)

    data country table
    1, netherlands
    2. belguim
    3. USA

Now what i'm trying to get is the data of both the old access 97 database to migratie to the new database's
that gives me a few problems:

there a duplicated primairy keys (UserID, ProjectID )
Those duplicated keys are fogeinkeys so cannot be adjusted

Forgein key change from country (now countryId)

Any idea's how i can get my two old database data into one new with all old relation's ?

hope you see where i'm getting at, and thx in advanced
if this is not clear pls ask me

    cheers
    Martijn

I would import one set of the old data into the tables then import the other set of data into temporary tables. From there it would be fairly easy to assign new keys using append queries. I often have to create an extra column of OldKey in the temp tables to maintain the links and create a new set of primary keys in the original key table.

    clear as mud?
