Question Unanswered: Database Replication - a Good Backup Solution?

I would like to backup my Access file (MDB) at a specified point. This point may be every time someone opens it, every two (five, ten, etc.) someone opens it, or at a scheduled point such as every day, week, month, etc.

I ahve stumbled upon Database Replication as a potential solution, but I would like the opinions of seasoned Access developers/administrators.

Is this a good way to backup the database on a regular basis?

    Thanks in advance.

I don't know... That's one of the reasons I posted this question.

I understand that I wouldn't be able to schedule this sort of task, but I could force it to happen each time someone opens or closes the file. That is, if there is a way to implement this in code.

    Any ideas?
