    Unanswered: sp in psql?

    Hello everyone,
Is there a stored procedure counter-part in postgres just like in MS SQL?

    Thanks in advance

Functions and triggers are considerd as Stored procedure in PostgreSQL which could be automatically executed by PostgreSQL server when particular condition arise in a database i.e. Row deletion

    Thanks for the reply,
But instead of the function being called automatically, can I call it on-demand inside my PHP script? If so, how? Can I just use the pg_exec()?

    Thanks again
