Unhappy Unanswered: Dbase and DB2 -- Dumb Question

Are DB2 and Dbase the same? I am trying save a simple table in MS Access in a format to be used with DB2 on an AS400. It allows me to save in Dbase III and on up.

I'm sure someone has the answer.

    thanks.

No they are not the same Ashton Tate Corporation and then Borland marketed dBase. DB2 is an IBM offspring but I am not saying exporting into a dBase format won’t import to a DB2 database this I am not sure that it will work or not it has been several years since I worked with either one. Hope this helped.
