    Unanswered: making an EXE file

    Hi All,
YES I did search the forums extensively before posting this.

Is there a way to generate an EXE file out of a Microsoft Access 2000 MDB file?
I have a form in my MDB file that I would like to turn into an EXE application so that It can run without having to launch MS Access all the time.

Can anyone help me with this?

If you just have one form, it should be easy to convert it to Visual Basic
    to make an EXE.

The computer it runs on won't need Access but will need the DLL version
of DAO or ADO you are using - ADO is much better by the way.

If you have Visual Basic 6.0 it should be fairly easy to do.

You'll just have to play around with it. Without seeing your code, I don't
know how to tell you to write the program.

Well I am using VBA under Microsoft Access 2002 (XP). However I DO have access to Visual Basic If necessary.

Any idea how I might go about doing this?

NOTE: The Microsoft Visual Basic I have access to is .NET

If you've never used VB.NET then you will definitely have some work to
do. It's a lot different than VBA or VB 6.0

This will take a lot of manual work since there is no "wizard" to convert
from VBA. Without seeing your project or having you explain what
you're trying to do I don't know how to tell you what you need.

Explain what you want to do and I'll see if I can help.

    so so

I am a bit familiar with the .net architecture. After all, C# is one of my favorite languages.

I am planning on releaseing all my work as Open source after I am done with this program. But I would have to delete the contents of the tables because oif privacy issues. This database is for University personell, and I would have toi copletely empty the tables before I share it up.
