Unanswered: "buffer overflow, limit of 2000 bytes" question

I get this error when I run a procedure (which triggers a package)

"ORA-20000: ORU-10027: buffer overflow, limit of 2000 bytes
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_OUTPUT", line 35
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_OUTPUT", line 198
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_OUTPUT", line 139
    ORA-06512: at "SA.CONVERSION", line 41
    ORA-06512: at "SA.APPROVE_PPM", line 15
    ORA-06512: at line 1"

the package is set up to return a lot of output text using dbms_output.

I do believe that my procedure still runs fine and completes but I'd like to see all the messages in Sqlplus when I execute the procedure.

Is there any way to get around this please?

You can ncrease the size of your output buffer by executing following statement on SQL prompt

SQL> set serveroutput on SIZE xxxxx

where xxxxx stands for any number > 2000 ( try it with 10000)

    i.e,

SQL> set serveroutput on SIZE 10000
