    Re: Creating a search form

    Hello.

The easiest and best to learn is to use the form wizard.

Click on the Forms object button, then New and follow the wizard questions. The end result can be modified heavily for function and visual pleasure, but not necessary to function adequately for a simple search or "page through the records" type form.

Now, this may not be what you are looking for but it does allow you to search through records using the ACCESS build in search engine (so to speak).

Place this code into the Click event of a button control

    Code:
    Screen.PreviousControl.SetFocus
    DoCmd.DoMenuItem acFormBar, acEditMenu, 10, , acMenuVer70
The code above works for Access97. I did'nt run over to the other computer and test it on 2002 but it is available. If you use your command button wizard...it will create the search button for you.

Oh...oh ya... AND I DON'T KNOW WHY MICROSOFT DID'NT PUT THIS ONE WITH ALL THE OTHER POWERFULL RUNCOMMAND METHODS (#$#@$)
