Unanswered: Wait for a Query to complete

I'm using the following code to format a set of address fields. I need each query to finish before the other starts. However judging by the results, I dont think this is happening Is there any way I can forece access to wait before running the next query?

    DoCmd.OpenQuery "qryAddress1Update"

    DoCmd.OpenQuery "qryAddress2Update"

    DoCmd.OpenQuery "qryAddress3Update"

    DoCmd.OpenQuery "qryAddress4Update"

    DoCmd.OpenQuery "qryAddress5Update"

    thanks a lot

    Neil

Unlike you think, Access will execute one query after the other. It will not execute the next one before the previous one has finished.

I fear you have some other problem...
What formatting needs such a series of queries?

I'm rolling the addresses to the left. I have 6 address fields in total. If there is no entry on one address field I'm moving the data from the next address field accross and so on.
