I want to use a DBLink to a SQL 2000 server using the Generic Oracle HS with OleDB.
I create the BDlink and I can use simple queries, like:
select * from table@oledblink;
It's working fine.
But, if I try anything like this:
select * from table@oledblink where col1 = 'xxx';
The Oracle returns: ORA-00904: invalid column name....
Can anyone help me ?
Did you try double quotes?
where "col1" = 'xxx'
Thank YOU !!! It´s work well !!!
I have found that when you are refrencing SQL Server objects directly over a OLE DBlink it is a good habit to enclose schema objects(or what we refer to as schema objects in Oracle) in double quotes.
i.e. table_names, column_names...
