Question Unanswered: can I remove jdk dir from C:\orant ?

Apparently, I have jdk 1.3.x in C:\orant\jdk. This must have been installed by my sys admin when they installed Oracle 9i client on my XP laptop.

I need jdk 1.4.2 for another app, so installed it elsewhere.

Now I'd like to remove this unused jdk, to avoid any confusion.

Will I cause problems by deleting this dir? thanks.

It depends on parts of Ora client which you are using. Most of Oracle binaries need java for run.
It will be better when you install newer version of java to the another location and in control panel -> system add the global enviroment variable JAVA_HOME where path will be the location of new java
