Unanswered: fixpack 10a and varchar limit 254 on DB2

We recently upgraded to DB2 UDB 7.2 32 bit with FP10a on AIX 5.2L 32 bit for our new database server. Now the problem is

    1. tables are hitting a varchar limit error if the varchar is greater than 254 when new tables are created

    2. Do I need to back out of FP 10a to a lower release?

    Thanks

    Fixpak 6 to Fixpak10a

Previous version: DB2 UDB 7.2 EEE on FP6 running on AIX 5.2L
(both O/S and DB are 32 bit)

Upgraded to: same DB2 UDB version but upgraded to Fixpak 10a.

Now we get this error when creating new tables:

    SQL0604N
The length, precision, or scale attribute for column, distinct type, structured type, attribute of structured type, function, or type mapping "char(256)" is not valid. SQLSTATE=42611 | Unspecified error

The table data is loaded from a SQL Server 2000 database via ODBC connection.

I think you r problem might be going through the ODBC their is conversion to a CHAR and if I am not mistaken CHAR are limited to 256 (or it could be an ODBC limitation)

cannot compile stored procedures after fixpak upgrade

We are running DB2 7.2 UDB EEE 32bit on AIX 5.2L 32 bit and recently upgraded from Fixpak6 to Fixpak10a. We get the following errors when compiling stored procedures:

SQL10013N The specified library "/home/db2inst1/sqllib/function/db2udp" could
    not be loaded

How can I fix this problem? Thanks

    Scott
