    Unanswered: Invalid Table Name

    Dear all,

    I am going to modify the VB code so that it can create the table in the oracle database using admin rights. The table does not exist in the database. When the command runs to create table, it prompt "Invalid table name". How can I solve it?

    Have you enclosed the table name in single quotes?
    I did that once and it doesn't work. See example below......

    -----------------------------------------------------------
    SQL> create table TZPMS0004 (acol number);

    Table created.

    SQL> drop table TZPMS0004;

    Table dropped.

    SQL> create table 'TZPMS0004' (acol number);
    create table 'TZPMS0004' (acol number)
    *
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00903: invalid table name
    -----------------------------------------------------------

    You should really provide more information with your questions. A spool of the command and the error it produces would be good.
