    Question Unanswered: Installing Postgre modules

    Dear all,

I'm toying around with OpenFTS which needs the Tsearch2 module. I'm using a Suse Linux 9.0 pro installation and installed all devel and contrib packages for PostgreSQL. I unpacked tsearch-v2-7.3.tar.gz into /usr/share/pgsql/contrib/tsearch2, however make can't find the postgre sources.
Is there any possibilty of installing precompiled modules into postgre or do I need to get fresh sources and recompile/install all of postgre?

    Help greatly appreciated

    Re: Installing Postgre modules [RESOLVED]

Ok, i got it. Here is how i installed the new module:
I'm using the Suse 9.0 prebuild Postgre 7.3.4 packages. Downloaded the PostgreSQL 7.3.4 source and extracted the tsearch2 tarball into the contrib directory, then made a ./configure --without-readir in the source top directory an replaced Makefile.global by my distribution dependent Makefile.global from /usr/include/pgsql. Then made a gmake; gmake install in the tsearch2 directory and loaded the module by executing psql -d [DATABASE_WHICH_TSEARCH2_IS_TO_BE_ADDED_TO] -f tsearch2.sql.
