    Unanswered: Hello

I have set up a combo box on my form to search records in a table. If I start the db and click on the form, the combo box will not let me select any values. But if I go into the design view, then back again, it will let me. Is it a setting thing? I am pretty green with respect to access...

    Cheers in advance.

    That's interesting!

Compress, zip and post your DB and we can have a look at.

If it's too big, then before posting, make a copy of your database and delete all the stuff that have nothing to do with your problem.

Thanks very much, but I am not able to port this work, sadly! Its just odd. It worked for a period of time, then I may have altered a constraint or value. Maybe about data changing or editing allowances?

    Check the form's AllowEdits property.
    Check the combo's Locked property.

However, these properties should not be different if you just open the form by double clicking on it or open the form by changing from design view to form view. There shold not be any difference.

Does this form have any code in the OpenForm event handler?

I already checked the locked function, and it is not locked. I cannot see an allow edits in the properties window of the box, should there be one? My row source is a query...
