My boss just told me that we can use a JDBC MS SQL driver (com.ibm.websphere.jdbcx.sqlserver.SQLServerDataSo urce) to connect to an Oracle 9i server and start interacting with it.

He told me that in his testing he was able to connect to the Oracle server/db (migrated from MS SQL) but as yet had not tested calling stored procedures.

Is this a wise thing to do, even if it does "apparently work"?

My Spidey-Senses got all worked up when he told me this, what do you guys think?
