    Hi,when I use LogMiner, the following problem arise:

    SQL> EXECUTE SYS.DBMS_LOGMNR_D.BUILD(DICTIONARY_FILENAME=>'orcl dict.ora',DICTION
    ARY_LOCATION=>'C:\oracle\ora90\orcl');

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    SQL> EXECUTE SYS.DBMS_LOGMNR.ADD_LOGFILE(LOGFILENAME=>'REDO01.L OG',OPTIONS=>sys.
    DBMS_LOGMNR.NEW);
    BEGIN SYS.DBMS_LOGMNR.ADD_LOGFILE(LOGFILENAME=>'REDO01.L OG',OPTIONS=>sys.DBMS_LO
    GMNR.NEW); END;

    I don't know why. Must I shutdow the database and startup in mount state to execute the DBMS_LOGMNR.ADD_LOGFILE procedure?
    My database is in NOARCHIVELOG mode.

    Thumbs up

    HI,

    This is because the system cannot access a required archived redo log file. This might be due to Non-existence of off-line log or the storage device mayn't be online or the archived file is not in the correct location.

    When you restart the Server, it restarts the recovery session. So the Problem is solved.
    SATHISH .
