    Unanswered: BCP and Views

I am using BCP to extract data based on a View. The View selects about 200 records from a total of 200,000.

The BCP process is taking about 30 MINUTES to extract the 200 records.

    ANybody got any ideas?

    Re: BCP and Views

View has to be populated. How much time does normal select from view take.

Besides this just tune the sql which populates the view. That should do the trick.

check whether the index is created on the selection condition of the view.
it index is not there create an index.

    Thanks for all your responses.

The Select on the view is pretty quick and I know that there is an index on one of the selection criteria for the view.

I'll see what happens if I create an index on the other field that is used in the selection on the view.
