Unanswered: Returning SP OUT parameter from UDF

    I am using DB2 7.1

I need to execute some calculation which is too complex for implement in UDF, so I plan to do that calculation in stored procedure and return result thru OUT parameter.

Problem is that I don't know how to read OUT parameter in UDF and return it as UDF result.

Thanks to anyone who has idea how to do it.

If your UDF is SQL, you cannot even call the SP, so getting the OUT parameter is moot. Your UDF will have to be C or Java to be able to call a SP. Then you use the normal way for that language to get the OUT parameter.
