Unanswered: Free Linux version of ASE?

    Hi,

The intro to this sybase section of dbforums mentions a free linux version of sybase which can be used in a production environment.

Does anyone know if this is true and if so where i can get it from since i cant seem to find it on the sybase website. I have downloaded the developer edition which is available for both Windows and Linux but cannot see any mention of the free linux version.

    Thanks

Thanks, yeah thats the version i have already but was wondering if there is a free Linux version which can be used in production systems as is mentioned on this site?

That download also offers the a client download of around 500MBs does anyone know what that includes?

    Which site ?

The 500 Mb are including the whole Sybase environment (incl ASE binaries, diagservers, Jconnects, ...)

You know the Sybase menu you click to enter this part of the forum? It has brief description about sybase on it.
