    rollforward query

    Hi,

    db2 rollforward db query status
I believe is how you would check the status for your db2 rollforward
    processing

    Regards,
    Scott

    Re: rollforward query

Scott's suggestion is for ROLLFORWARD Status and NOT for RESTORE ...

I don't seem to know any command for restore status ... I normally 'ls -lrt' or iostat for the container path to check restore is working

    Cheers

    Re: rollforward query

well, I am interested in the progress of both restore and roll forward. It would be nice if IBM can provide a command which tells you which log file is currenlty being applied.

We're archiving our logs with TSM and when I'm restoring a Database with rollforward I can watch the success with the dsmadmc-commandline and the "query sessions" command.

While restoring you can see the amount of data transferred, and while rolling forward you can at least see that a logfile is accessed on TSM. Then you can have a look in your audit-path to see it's name - in case you use the userexit deleivered with db2 the log is restored to ....audit/tmp and then moved to the logdirectory.

    Regards,
    Volker.
