Unanswered: Determine Color Number of Shading

I have some reports within Excel that have cells shaded a certain color.

I am building some reports within Access. My problem is that Access uses color numbers. The pallette for colors in Access is different than the pallette in Excel.

Is there a way to determine the color number that is being used in the Excel report?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well, there are two different waysto referring to color in Excel: the palette number (ColorIndex) and the RGB number (0 to 16,777,215 - it takes three arguments, each between 0 to 256). Unfortunately Excel can only display 56 colors, and anyone can change the pallete in use. And there is not guarantee that you can get the same color,e ven by using the same palette number.

Okay, here is a sample sheet with the 56 colors on the palette with their numbers. Look on sheet1.
