    Unanswered: TempDB on RAM

I believe i've read somewhere that TEMPDB can be moved to RAM. Can you point me to some resource that gives an extensive description on how to do so. Searched for this in the Holy Book but was unable to find out anything

You would need to go to the holy book version 6.5 to find that. MS removed it in SQL 7.0. I wish they had not, since that was a great way to resize/move tempdb to different physical disks.

I know it must be shocking to find out that Microsoft is hiding/removing functionality from computer professionals at every turn, but this is basically what Bill means by "trusted computing". "Just trust us. It is working." ;-)
