    Unanswered: PHP Support

    Hey all,

    Just installed PostgreSQL 7.4 and am quite happy with the features and functionality. One thing I am having trouble with is PHP. I attempted to write a basic connection to PostgreSQL in PHP, but received:

    Call to undefined function: pg_connect()

    This tells me that PHP was not compiled with PostgreSQL in mind. However, I look at the PHP compilation configuration and found '--with-pgsql'. I also found the pgsql.so file in the appropriate place.

    Am I missing someting? Do I need to recompile? Is there additonal packages I need to install?

    I figured you all were more likely to deal with this (installation, administration) than the PHP forum

    thanks,
    DrS

    You need to compile PHP with --with-pgsql=/path/to/pgsql/libs
