    Hi ,

    Client Library error:
    severity(0) number(3) origin(8) layer(6)
    ct_connect(): directory service layer: internal directory control layer
    error: Requested server name not found.

    Remote Server is checked only in 2 places

    --> master..sysservers, and
    --> interfaces or sql.ini file

    As long you have both setup correctly with the right class connection should be a breeze.

    Re...Error with CT-Library

    We have a ASE server on Mac OS X, and I am running the Ct-Library program on windows machine,
    where should I look for the sql.ini file or the masters..sysservers
    for my (windows machine) sql.ini file in the sybase installation folder , it doesnot contain anything.
    Can I edit the file? If yes with what??
    Sorry for asking too many doubts.
    thanks,

    That's really quite simple - the name of the server you are trying to connect to isn't specified in the interfaces file, possibly because of a typo, either in the interfaces file or in your program.
