Unanswered: Forms - open form to a new record

I'd like to set up a form in Access that will automatically open to a new, blank record, but still retain access to the existing records in the associated table.

Is there a easy way to do that?

    Thank you

    Yes,

    Create a macro.
2 lines in macro: 1) open form
    2) GoToRecord (Record: New)

    Here ya go

Or..... You could put this into whichever event you are using to open your form:

    Code:
    DoCmd.OpenForm "myFormName"
    DoCmd.GoToRecord acDataForm, "myFormName", acNewRec
If your form is a Dialog - popup - and modal then you might want to try this:

    Code:
    DoCmd.OpenForm "myFormName", , , , , acHidden
    DoCmd.GoToRecord acDataForm, "myFormName", acNewRec
    DoCmd.OpenForm "myFormName", , , , , acDialog
