    Unanswered: xp_sendmail

I am trying to use the extended procedure xp_sendmail. I am running Sql Server 2000 on Windows XP. I connected to the server but keep getting the message:
    Server: Msg 18035, Level 16, State 1, Line 0
xp_sendmail: Your SQL Server Service is running under the local system account. You need to change your SQL Server Service account ro run under a domain account in order to complete this operation

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong, or not doing at all? Thanks.

That was my post. I logged out of my local machine and logged onto the machine where the SQL Server sits.

Did you change the sql server service startup account to a domain level account ? What is the login used to start the sql server service ?
