    Unanswered: Unicode and UTF8

    Hi all

    We are in the process of setting up a production database on SQL Server 2000. I was just wondering if some one can throw some light on how to store the following in SQL server :

    * Unicode data sets

    * UTF8

    Any help is highly appreciated.

    Many thanks! in advance.

    Re: Unicode and UTF8

    Check SQL Books On Line for NChar and NVarchar. I know that these are specifically designed to hold Unicode data.

    For UTF-8, isn't that just the narrow version (representation) of data? In that case, Char and Varchar data types should work well for you.
