Exclamation Unanswered: Connecting to MySQL 4.1.1

    Hello all

    I've got a weird problem:

    I've upgraded from 4.0.x to 4.1.1.
I'm working with PHP and JAVA.
With PHP eveything works as it should.
BUT when i'm trying to connect with JAVA i'm getting this error:

Cannot connect to MySQL server on localhost:3306.
Is there a MySQL server running on the machine/port you are trying to connect to? (java.lang.NumberFormatException)

    SQLState: 08S01

    VendorError: 0

MySql, PHP & JAVA are running on the same machine.
As i told before: On MySQL 4.0.x there are no problems...

Why does it work with PHP but doesn't with JAVA (Connector/J 3.1.0) ??

    Any ideas??

    Thanks a lot

    wrong library

    i've found the error:
i had an old version of the jdbc (2.0) lib on my system,
    that was loaded.

i've replaced it with the current nightly build:

    now, everything works!
