    Arrow Unanswered: Excel Macro stops at Save As... replace file

    I have written a macro in Excel to open and re-save another spreadsheet file in .prn format. The macro stops at the question "Do you want to replace the existing file?" Is there a way to bypass these messages when the macro runs??

    There are a couple of ways to handle this. The easiest is to include the following line:

    Application.DisplayAlerts = False.

    Then after that procedure, be sure to include this line:

    Application.DisplayAlerts = True
    old, slow, and confused
    but at least I'm inconsistent!
