    Unanswered: log buffers full SQL0964N

    I keep getting the following errors in the db2diag.log file
    (DB2 UDB 7.2 on AIX 5.2L)

    Log Full -- active log held by appl. handle 485
    End this application by COMMIT, ROLLBACK or FORCE APPLICATION.

    LOGBUFSZ

    Hi,

    I think the logbufsz at the database level might be less.

    Please increase that and also try increasing your logfiles by 2 or so and see if you get the same error.

    Hi,

    I don't think that you have "Log buffer size" problem. You probably have setting problem with too small "Log file". So look at settings LOGFILSIZ, LOGPRIMARY, LOGSECOND.

    Default values are too small for production environment, so you probably need to change them.

    I have already written someting about log files in this forum.
