I get no commission for this, but I like Readyhosting.com. They give a substantial discount for site hosting after your first one, and the price is pretty good even for the first one. Support is great, and all the features I've ever needed are there.

I used exahost.co.uk but think they are slightly expensive now. I will however say, they're uptime and support are excellent!

    Hostdepartment.com

Hosting for under $10 a month. You can sign up month by month if you choose to do so.

I also use Readyhosting.com and I love them. They're great if you need a windows-based web site!

    I couldn't go to their site. (Readyhosting.com)
    Are they still doing business?

Today... they had a massive fiber optic outage that put their entire business out of commission for nearly 10 hours. I've been with them for over a year and a half... and they've had 99.9% uptime. I was not amused that they were down today.. but I thought they handled it well. Their customer service phone lines were open and techs were available to answer calls nearly immediately (they must have had ALL their employees on the phones today).

If great price is what you're after you may want to look into www.best-machine.com where currently for $4.95/mo total you can set up 5 domains (i.e. separate Web sites).
